CAT CRAWL - 'ALCHEMY' ALBUM LAUNCH

On Halloween night, the cauldron boils over.
On 31 October, three-piece Naarm/Melbourne band Cat Crawl will unleash their debut album, Alchemy, upon Mamma Chen’s in Footscray. A dark ritual of transformation, gender norms and confessional lyrics, Alchemy twists new-wave textures through brooding soundscapes and distortion that’s loud enough to make a banshee blush.
Joining Cat Crawl are Melbourne’s self-proclaimed “garage noise punk losers” Milksick, serving up a screaming cauldron of guitars bubbling over dread-soaked rhythms. Get ready for frantic modern post-punk/noise with an experimental, angular edge. Alongside them, Long Hours bring sentimental crooning and lo-fi no-wave gloom to the ritual.
31 October. Mamma Chen’s, Footscray.
Come dressed for the occasion – Halloween costumes are encouraged, and a prize awaits whoever turns up in the best costume.

Mamma Chen’s acknowledges the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung and the Bunurong peoples of the Kulin Nation, the true owners of the land that we live and operate on. We would like to pay our respects to their Elders past and present and extend that respect to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples.
