Sometimes good things happen to those who wait. And waiting is what Piers Buxton has been doing for decades, watching other bands do their thing, whilst quietly writing and recording songs in the background… lots of songs.
Piers played one of his songs to his good mate, Mission Brown’s Gus Kelly, who was instantly hooked. ‘Sorry’ track 2 on the upcoming debut EP ‘Hop on it’, is a longing, heartfelt confession. It’s a song’, as Piers sings, ‘about a regret’, lamenting lost time and opportunities, wishing he had hopped on that stage when he was young.
Gus played this song to Mission Brown, who instantly loved it. So with studio time booked 6 songs were recorded over 2 days.
As a result, THE DELIVERABLES was formed with a mix of old dog experience and a mature-aged debutante. Max, Gus, James and Jason bring a wealth of experience from bands such as Mission Brown, The Tonalists, Stupidity, The Mustard Club, and The Jackson Code, to name a few.
The Deliverables will be playing songs off the new EP out on Cheersquad Records and Tapes… Hop on it!
