Stephen Hornby is an Australian double bassist, composer and the creative force behind the award-winning ensemble Koi Kingdom and +F:rst Sunn+. Based in Melbourne, he blends deep jazz roots with a contemporary global perspective, creating music that is both lyrical and exploratory.
A graduate of the Victorian College of the Arts, he received the 2025 Art Music Award for Work of the Year: Jazz with Koi Kingdom.
"Melbourne-based drummer Phil Collings currently performs with Retratos Ensemble, Andy Baylor, Noria Letts, Damon Smith, F:rst Sunn, Red Triangles, Kim Salmon, and Stu Thomas.
